Hospital de Tongji da Universidade de Tongji(Shanghai Tongji Hospital) is a tertiary Grade A general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, and prevention. Located in Shanghai, the hospital was established in 1991 as Ganquan Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Railway Medical College. It was renamed after merging into Tongji University in 2000 and later came under the joint management of Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center and Tongji University in 2010.


The hospital covers an area of 62 acres (about 10 hectares) with a construction area of nearly 100, 000 square meters. It has 1, 100 approved beds (approximately 1, 300 in actual operation) and handles over 2 million outpatient and emergency visits annually. Equipped with advanced medical facilities such as 3.0T MRI, 320-slice CT, PET-enabled ECT, DSA, and linear accelerators, the hospital is recognized as a national Advanced Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and Trauma Center. The hospital excels in multiple disciplines, including orthopedics, neurosciences, and cardiovascular medicine, with internationally advanced expertise in elderly cardiovascular intervention, critical trauma treatment, stem cell regeneration, and tumor immunotherapy.


Esseniot provided a logistics connection solution for the new and old buildings of the hospital. The new building usessmart vertical conveyor logistics, while the old building usesrobots de reparto autónomos(AMR) to transport drugs, infusions, and other materials. The material delivery AMR robot shares an efficient lifting system with the vertical conveyor transport totes, saving hospital resources and improving transportation efficiency. Application situation: The monthly departure volume of robots is ≥ 1100 times
